Job Offers

I've spent the last few months clicking away at Monster.com to try and find some form of gainful employment. I've had interviews with several larger companies, including but not limited to Amazon.com, Target, GE Infrastructure, Southern California Edison, First American Corporation, etc. Finally, it looks as if I'm going to get an actual offer from a decent company. The problem I've had up until now is the way that these companies have chosen to start the interview process.

I can't tell you how impersonal it is to do multiple phone screens with people which for them qualifies as an interview and then not to be contacted with any sort of feedback what so ever. How in the hell can someone really get a feel for who you are by simply talking to you on the phone?

Also, these big companies do really well at leading a person on, just to drop you like a hot rock for no given reason at all. Amazon was great at this. They all but told me I had a job with them, and then next thing I know, I'm not even being given the courtesy of a reach around.

Sigh. Well, here's to keepin the faith and keepin your fingers crossed.
